Domaine Sylvain Cathiard & Fils ranks among the leading estates of the Côte de Nuits in Burgundy. The family estate, based in Vosne-Romanée, was founded in the 1930s by Sylvain Cathiard’s grandfather, who had previously worked at Domaine de la Romanée-Conti (DRC) and at Lamarche. Sylvain’s father André later began bottling under his own name, until Sylvain took over the vineyards through a tenancy agreement in 1995. Today, after stints in Bordeaux and New Zealand, Sébastien Cathiard continues to lead the estate.
