93 Flinty and fresh on the elegant, refined and slightly reductive as well as yeasty nose, the 2018 Chardonnay Ried Pössnitzberger Kapelle GSTK is dense and viscous on the palate, with an almost dusty veil of yeast but also juicy and intense behind it. I find this creaminess excessive and hope the wine will become clearer with time. In any case, the bottle should stand upright for a day before serving or caraffing from it. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted in Grafenegg in September 2021.
