91-93 A rich deep purple. At the moment, I am finding that the oak is playing too strong a hand, rather dumbing down the fruit which is certainly there. 45% new wood is not in itself excessive, but it makes the fruit darker and heavier. There is plenty of fruit weight here so this may be a severe rating. Drink from 2030-2036.
