2011 Vosne-Romanée Aux Malconsorts Premier Cru – Domaine Sylvain Cathiard et Fils

94 A still youthful ruby crimson. The bouquet retains a considerable energy of concentrated fruit. A boundless energy, with a seductive fruit reminiscent of Sylvain and just a little more structure perhaps introduced by Sébastien Cathiard in his first vintage. How will this harmonize or should we be drinking it up? In fact, this Malconsorts builds very well with time in the glass, showing a fine fruit/acid balance and a raft of fresh raspberry fruit. It just needed some time to come together.
