Domaine Gros Frère et Sœur stands for Burgundian wine culture at the highest level – now led by the 7th generation, Vincent and Elodie Gros.
Vincent brings modern precision to his work as winemaker, while Elodie is responsible for marketing and organization. Together, they have thoroughly modernized the historic 23-hectare estate – without losing sight of their roots.

Herbicides are no longer used; instead, the soils are loosened by plowing, and all grapes are harvested exclusively by hand. Only the best grape material – destemmed, selected via an optical sorting table, and fermented with estate-grown yeasts from Grand Cru vineyards – makes its way into the cellar.
Vinification is carried out with the highest standards: 12 months of aging in Burgundian oak barrels (100% new oak for Grand Crus), followed by 6 months of fine lees aging in stainless steel tanks for added depth and balance. Before bottling, the wines are gently filtered. The result is seductive, elegant Burgundies with juicy fruit, fine spice, and fresh acidity – a distinctive house style from Bourgogne to Grand Cru.

The portfolio includes legendary vineyards such as Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot, and Echézeaux, as well as Premier Crus like Vosne-Romanée “Les Chaumes.” Since the 2022 vintage, the domaine also exclusively cultivates the monopole vineyard “Clos de la Fontaine.”

The family’s history dates back to 1830, when Alphonse Gros founded the estate – a true pioneer who was already bottling wine at the estate in the mid-19th century. Today, the domaine is one of the four major houses of the Gros family. The family home is located in Vosne-Romanée, in an elegant estate with a modern tasting room and views of the famous vineyards.
