Alsace
The Alsace wine region stretches almost 100 kilometres along the Vosges and covers around 15,000 hectares of vineyards. The dry, sunny climate and the varied soils of granite, limestone and slate create ideal conditions for characterful white wines. Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris in particular shape the region. Alsace is also known for Crémant d’Alsace and for indicating the grape variety on the label.
