Merlot is the gentle, seductive soul of Bordeaux. As a blending partner in the wines of the Left Bank it brings harmony, velvetiness and depth to the wines. Yet it reveals its true greatness on the Right Bank, where it finds ideal conditions on clay- and limestone-rich soils.
