Jasper Morris - Inside Burgundy December 2024
92-95 The youngest vines, planted in 2019 higher up the Clos, were destemmed entirely, as were the grapes from the clay based bottom plot. The rest varied between 40-50-100% whole bunches, averaging 50% for the blend. A fine glowing purple, with a light oak effect on the nose. Dark fruit, a light chocolate note, some stems, a sense of a relative heavyweight in the ring. There are sufficient red fruit notes mixed into the black to keep the tension, given that acidity is not high this year, with fair persistence. Drink from 2030-2037.
