94 Deep ruby garnet, violet reflections, delicate ochre rim. Dark minerality, black berry fruit, delicate hints of licorice and herbs, underpinned by candied mandarin zest. Juicy, firm texture, ripe red cherries, fine tannins, mineral-salty finish, sweet extract finish, good aging potential.

95 Aged in used 500-liter oak barrels, the 2018 Syrah is pure, fresh and smoky on the deep and concentrated yet elegant nose. Damned fascinating! On the palate, this is a silky textured, refined and elegant, juicy and persistent red with intense and juicy fruit, very fine tannins and great balance. Very, very long. This is one of—if not the—finest Syrah I have ever tasted from limestone soils. It's the best buy in 2018. Organic. Total production: 3,800 bottles and 500 magnums.
